From the moment the Guild made apprentice’s file, his whole education – from the beginning of secondary school to the moment of finishing theoretical and practical studies and submitting an application for allowing to take a journeyman exam – is kept in MERLIN. Based upon it, the Chamber and domestic Guild may trace further apprentice’s fate – another practices, submitted applications, exam notes, etc. It is easy to find in the central apprentices’ base who should take an exam to encourage him to broaden his journeyman qualifications.

Thanks to collected and constantly updated contacts, you can regularly and without making an address database – send invitations (via post or e-mail) for meetings, trainings, etc. Knowing also who has right qualifications and length of service – you can inform him about the opportunities to enter the master exam or who can fill into the exam board.

Informatization of the organizations and companies may be in a substantial part financed from EU funds. Well prepared applications may bear fruit in a form of even 75% of subsidy, i.e. just like the one the Lower Silesian Chamber of Craft obtained – the first of the chambers implementing MERLIN system with its whole functionality. The Data Protection Act imposes an obligation to take a particular care on collected personal data. One of the most important factors is a proper security of the computer application. We prepared the system to obey the recommendations of the Act and the Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data at the highest possible level – „level high”. It is enough to submit an application, which annex constitutes a documentation prepared by us, and the processing data will be registered in GIODO according to the binding Polish law.
